Ajman Free Zone business setup

Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) licenses trading, service, industrial and freelance businesses next to Ajman Port. We check your activity against AFZ's official list, prepare your application and explain any approvals.

Overview

How Ajman Free Zone company setup works

Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) sits next to Ajman Port, within reach of Dubai and Sharjah airports. It offers Freezone Establishments (FZE), Freezone Companies (FZC) and branches of local or foreign companies.

AFZ's licenses cover business (commercial) activities, industrial and manufacturing, and a sole professional license through its freelancer package. Facilities range from offices and a business centre to warehouses, land and on-site accommodation.

AFZ's official activity list groups activities into services, commercial, industrial, freelancer and e-commerce. We check your activity against it and tell you if another zone fits better.

Ask on WhatsApp
What is the difference between an FZE and an FZC in Ajman Free Zone?

Both are AFZ company types. A Freezone Establishment (FZE) generally has one shareholder and a Freezone Company (FZC) has more than one, while AFZ also registers branches of local and foreign companies. We confirm AFZ's current shareholder rules and documents for your structure before you apply.

Does Ajman Free Zone offer a freelancer license?

Yes. AFZ lists a sole professional license under its freelancer package, and its official activity list has a freelancer category. We check that your profession is on that list, what documents AFZ asks for and whether a sole professional license or a company suits your plans better.

Can I get a warehouse in Ajman Free Zone?

AFZ lists warehouses and land among its facilities, alongside offices, executive offices, a business centre and on-site accommodation. Which premises you need depends on your activity and license type, since industrial activities often need more space than a trading or service license. We match the premises to your activity before you apply.

It depends on your activities, the license term, your license type and premises and how many visas you need. Rather than a headline price that may not fit your plans, your consultant sends a written quotation with every Ajman Free Zone fee and our service fee shown separately, so you can compare before you pay anything.
